LCS Foundation Awards $8,000 to Support CNA Certification Programs in Senior Living Communities

The LCS Foundation has awarded $8,000 in grant funding to support the expansion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification classes at five LCS managed communities.
The five communities selected to receive grant funding include:
- Clarendale at Bellevue Place (Nashville, TN)
- Clarendale at Indian Lake (Hendersonville, TN)
- Croasdaile Village (Durham, NC)
- Lake Port Square (Leesburg, FL)
- Residences At Vantage Point (Columbia, MD)
“These awards show our commitment to supporting the frontline caregivers who make such a difference every day,” said Zane Bennett, LCS Foundation Vice President and Executive Director at Porters Neck Village in Wilmington, North Carolina. “We’re excited to provide these five communities with the resources they need to enrich residents’ lives and help team members grow in their careers.”
The grants will be used to begin or continue existing on-site CNA classes and may cover costs for CNA marketing materials, sample programs, mannequins, textbooks or state approval. For instructors like Megan Estrada, this funding plays a vital role in strengthening staff development and elevating the quality of resident care.
“CNAs and medication aides are vital to delivering quality, compassionate care in our setting,” said Megan Estrada, Medication Aide Program Director and Instructor for Clarendale at Bellevue Place and Clarendale at Indian Lake. “This grant strengthens our training efforts, empowering staff with the skills and confidence to provide safe care and enhance resident well-being.”
