LCS Foundation Golf & Pickleball Classic Tops $500K Milestone

Sep 11, 2025
The newly expanded LCS Foundation Golf & Pickleball Classic is the largest fundraising event of the year for the LCS Foundation.

The LCS Foundation is proud to announce that its annual Golf & Pickleball Classic raised $170,000, bringing total funds raised since the event’s inception in 2019 to over $500,000. Held on August 11 at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines, this year’s event marked a new milestone with the introduction of a pickleball tournament and became the Foundation’s most successful fundraiser to date.

The event brought together 128 golfers, 26 pickleball players, and 36 sponsoring organizations in a shared effort to support the Foundation’s mission. As the Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event, the Classic continues to grow in both participation and impact.

“We are grateful to our generous sponsors, dedicated golfers and pickleball players, and the many volunteers who helped us reach this milestone and make this year’s event a tremendous success,” said Scott Doherty, LCS Foundation board member and Fundraising Committee Chair. “With the addition of the pickleball tournament, the Classic continues to grow, and the unwavering support from our community is essential to helping the Foundation expand its reach as we continue to advance our mission of service.”

The LCS Foundation extends a special thank you to HealthpeakTruist, and Lument who served as the Lead Sponsors of this year’s event.
