LCS Foundation Names Three New Board Members

The LCS Foundation has appointed three new members to serve three-year terms on its board of directors: Chris Bird, LCS President & Chief Executive Officer, Ross Kelderman, LCS Vice President/Controller, and Julie Baker, LCS Vice President/Director of Human Resources. The appointments were made during the LCS Foundation 2025 Annual Meeting, along with the renewal of terms for four current board members. The LCS Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting the senior living industry.
“Chris, Ross and Julie bring with them a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for the senior living industry that will help propel the LCS Foundation forward into the future,” said Elisa Baptiste, LCS Foundation Board Chair. “Their insight and leadership will be key as we continue to expand our impact and advance the Foundation’s mission.”
The new members succeed the following board members, who concluded their terms after six years of dedicated service:
- Ed Kenny, LCS Foundation Founder and retired LCS CEO
- Joe Brucella, Retired SVP/Director, Operations Management, LCS
- Bridgette Uhlemann, SVP and General Counsel, LCS
“I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Ed, Joe and Bridgette for their invaluable service and commitment to the LCS Foundation,” said Baptiste. “Their passion and dedication have truly embodied our mission of service in action and will leave a lasting legacy on the continued impact of our work.”
The following board members received renewals of their board positions and will serve one additional three-year term:
- Zane Bennett, Executive Director, Porters Neck Village
- Rick Exline, Retired EVP, LCS
- Kent Kalmey, VP/Director, Operations Management, LCS
- Traci McBee, Director, Corporate Communications, LCS
The LCS Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization founded by former LCS CEO, Ed Kenny, in 2016 and is governed by a volunteer board of directors, each connected to the field of senior living and with a deep passion for serving seniors.
Since its inception, the LCS Foundation has provided over $1.3 million in Emergency Relief Funds, more than $880,000 for Alzheimer’s research and support, and over $700,000 in scholarships, partnerships and grants.
