LCS Foundation Scholarship Supports UW–Eau Claire Student’s Path to Senior Living Leadership
Des Moines, IA – May 14, 2026 — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UW-EC) has named Claire Anderson, a sophomore majoring in health care administration, as the recipient of its 2026 LCS Foundation Scholarship.
Anderson’s interest in serving older adults grew from seeing firsthand the significant impact that transitioning to long-term care can have on families. Through her extensive experience caring for and assisting older adults, she has seen how even small acts of kindness and empathy can brighten someone’s day. “I am looking forward to the privilege of continuing to serve older adults in my future career,” she adds. After graduation, Anderson plans to become an administrator of a long-term care community.
“This scholarship is a meaningful reminder of how supportive the senior living community is and how committed it is to help future health care leaders succeed in their education and careers,” Anderson says.
The scholarship was awarded as part of the UW-EC Center for Health Administration and Aging Services Excellence (CHAASE) banquet.
The LCS Foundation established a strong partnership with CHAASE to support the continued education of students pursuing degrees in the senior living industry. Through the program, university scholarships are awarded annually. Recipients are chosen by the UW-EC Scholarship Selection Committee guided by principles endorsed by the LCS Foundation. Other schools where LCS Foundation scholarships are in place include Northwood University, the University of Northern Iowa, and the Granger Cobb Institute for Senior Living at Washington State University.
