Students Pursuing Degrees in Senior Lifestyle Services Eligible LCS Foundation Ed and Sue Kenny Scholarship Applications Accepted Through November 1

The scholarship is designed to promote the education and professional development of undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in the field of senior lifestyle services.

DES MOINES, Iowa. July 1, 2021 — The LCS Foundation has announced it is now accepting applications for the 2021 Ed and Sue Kenny Scholarship through November 1, 2021. The scholarship is designed to promote the education and professional development of undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in the field of senior lifestyle services. The scholarship is open to qualifying students across the country.

“As a leading provider in senior living, we know the importance of developing the next generation of leaders in the industry,” says Ed Kenny, LCS Foundation president. “The mission of the Ed and Sue Kenny Scholarship is to help support senior living management as a mainstream, well-respected career choice. This scholarship makes a positive difference for the future of our future workforce.”

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • GPA 3.0
  • Sophomore/Junior/Senior Class
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Demonstrated commitment to senior lifestyle services
  • Completed internship, rotations, or mentor program in senior lifestyle services.

Students must complete the LCS Foundation Ed and Sue Kenny Scholarship application form and submit it to Monica Friedman at friedmanmonica@lcsnet.com by November 1, 2021.

The LCS Foundation professional development committee reviews all applicants to make the final determination on selected applicants. The two scholarship awards will be announced in December 2021.
