University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Student Receives LCS Foundation Scholarship

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire announced Grace Krenn as the recipient of the 2025 LCS Foundation University Scholarship during its annual Center for Health Administration and Aging Services Excellence banquet. Krenn is a sophomore pursuing a major in healthcare administration with a minor in gerontology.
“This scholarship is more than financial support,” said Krenn. “It is a recognition of my hard work and dedication that I have poured into my journey as an aspiring health care administrator. It truly motivates me to continue pushing forward, knowing that my commitment to success is not only personally fulfilling but also recognized by those who believe in my future.”
Grace was inspired to pursue a career in senior living by her mother, an executive director of an assisted living and memory care community. “Watching my mom’s journey has shaped my own passion for senior living,” Grace said. “Her commitment, resilience, and ability to bring joy into the lives of residents and their families have inspired me to pursue this career, and I am eager to do so with the same dedication.”
For Krenn, her passion for the senior living industry also stems from the positive impact she can have on residents. “Having the opportunity to ensure quality care, advocate for residents’ rights, and foster meaningful relationships is what drives me to pursue a career in senior living,” she said. “It is because of the residents that I am passionate about senior living as a career. I truly cannot imagine doing anything else.”
Grace added she is grateful for the support she has received from Dr. Lindsey Creapeau, Assistant Professor in the Health Care Administration department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. “Her unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping my academic and professional growth,” she said. She is also thankful to her family and credits them for helping her reach her goals. “Receiving this scholarship, in part, is a reflection of their support, encouragement, and belief in me throughout every aspect of my life,” she said.
Upon graduation, Krenn hopes to become the executive director of a long-term care community.
